The first FTTH services provider of Azerbaijan, ENGINET company, and the leading mobile operator of the country, Bakcell, conducted a joint awareness-raising training on the methods of safe usage of the Internet at the Republican Art Gymnasium.
The training, organized within the “Safe Internet” project implemented with the support of Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan Republic with an aim of protecting children from the hazardous impact of the Internet outside the educational enterprises, was attended by the pupils, their parents and teachers of the gymnasium.
The objective of the project is to raise public awareness on the ways of protection against hazardous content on the Internet and thus make the virtual environment safer for the children using the Internet.
During the meeting the pupils styding at the gymnasium were informed about the unsafe content existing on the Internet and presented the rules concerning safe usage of the Internet. At the end of the meeting the participants were given promo gifts by ENGINET and Bakcell.
It is worth noting that with the help of the Filtered Internet service provided by ENGINET, the subscribers of Bakcell are able to protect their children from any kind of hazardous and undesired content on the Internet even outside the secondary schools, just via activating this service on a child’s cellular phone, tablet or computer.
