Partnership with Public Organizations

ENGINET successfully cooperates with several government institutions within the project of Azerbaijan Education Network – the largest corporate network of the country. This partnership is very significant both in terms of continuous expansion of the coverage of the countrywide education network as well as company’s reaching its business objectives.

Azerbaijan Education Network – is an intranet connecting over 2700 education enterprises and authorities throughout the country within a single network. The education organizations connected to this gigantic network gain access to high-speed and, what is more important, filtrated Internet (i.e. cleaned from any kind of harmful information such as pornography, terrorism, violence etc.), become equipped with intra- and inter-organizational intranet (local) networks and get an opportunity to benefit from such services as IP telephony, video-conferencing etc. Along with all these, implementation of the Azerbaijan Education Network project enables educational organizations significantly cut Internet usage expenses, thus leading to savings in the public budget.

Within this project, ENGINET actively cooperates with the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan Republic, who is the beneficiary of the project, “AzEduNet” LLC – the operator of the project, as well as the Azerbaijani Ministry of Transport, Communication and High Technologies, being one of the parties for the project, and its automatic switching centers. Thanks to this cooperation model, it was possible to develop and currently implement the process of connecting the secondary education enterprises (schools etc.) of the country to the Azerbaijan Education Network on the expenses of the private sector organizations, i.e. at no cost for the government budget. This model, in its turn, allows generate savings in the public expenditures as well as ensures close participation of private companies in the implementation of the government-led infrastructure projects. According to the selected model of partnership, the education enterprises already connected to the Azerbaijan Education Network are used as the pivot points from which the private sector company, ENGINET, builds fiber optical infrastructure to the neighboring residential buildings on its own expenses; and when the number of such connected buildings reaches a certain benchmark, those education enterprises are released from paying monthly subscription fee for being connected to the education network.
